On Jan. 5th I made a post with the following lead: Boy Scouts of King County are looking for input on how to best serve individuals with special health care needs and their families. Some folks took this to mean how can current scouts be of service to individuals with special needs. I see that I wasn’t clear. The intent of the conversation is to ask how should Boy Scouts include individuals with special needs in their troops. The Scouts want to be more inclusive and are looking for input on how to do that. Should they focus on inclusion, troops exclusively for special needs individuals or some other option? Again, the first of these will take place at the Bellevue Special Needs PTA meeting on Jan. 24th from 6:30-8:30 pm in the library at Highland Middle School, 15027 NE Bel/Red Rd. Bellevue, WA 98007.
