Dear folks,

I’m excited to announce that Theater of Possibility (TOP) will offer a summer drama camp for neurodiverse kids and teens, July 18-29, M-F, 2-5 PM at Northgate Community Center, 10510  – 5th Ave NE, Seattle, WA 98125.  Open to ages 9-16 (17+,  please inquire about volunteering as junior counselors).  Founded in 2010, TOP serves youth with autism spectrum and other (dis)abilities, as well as typically-developing peers. Every person is valued for their gifts.   Through acting, improvisation, collaboration and play-creation, TOP fosters creativity, builds confidence, offers community, and practices relationship skills; all the while, we’re having fun!   This two week camp will culminate in a potluck and friend & family showcase of original, ensemble-created mini plays, 4:30-6 PM on Friday, July 29.  Tuition is $550, with 10% sibling discount, half-scholarship and pay-what-you-can available. TOP is a DSHS/DDA respite care provider.  Taught by Lauren Marshall & Jackie Moffitt.

Northgate Community Center offers an ideal venue.  We’ll be in the spacious air-conditioned multi-purpose room, with access to a playground and grassy field for breaks.  It’s close to light rail and bus lines, and there is parking for drop off and pick up.

I’m also looking into the possibility of a two week August camp in Bellevue, if there is sufficient interest.

Warmly,

Lauren
