One of the focus areas for the Fathers Network is to advocate for equal access to the community for everyone.  With that in mind, I’ve been very happy to watch the development of the Seattle Cultural Accessibility Consortium.

The mission of the consortium: Connecting arts and culture organizations with the information and resources needed to improve accessibility for people of all abilities.

And it’s vision: All people with disabilities should be an integral part of King County’s arts and culture arena

The consortium has been doing great work to educate arts and culture organizations around issues related to accessibility.  They now have a new website with resources for organizations looking to improve accessibility.
