For details, including a list of school districts statewide, see: How well is your school district running special education services?

Advocacy tip: Your local school board governs the district and is ultimately in charge of program delivery and quality. If you are concerned about the program of special education in your district, contact the local board. If you are concerned about your child’s IEP, work with the IEP team; mediation and facilitation are also possible, as is requesting a due process hearing or filing a community complaint.
