The Child Health program at the WA Department of Health is looking for family volunteers.  Specifically from families of young children with a disability or special health care need.

The ask from the Child Health program:

In August, we are conducting a focus group to inform our family engagement work for the Early Childhood Comprehensive Systems program. The goals of the focus group are to:

  • Learn how to strengthen and build systems for pregnant/parenting families and those caring for and raising children up to age three (P-3 population) at the community and state level that are family centered. Systems may include childcare, health care, and other family supports and services.
    • gain insight into what systems including family supports and services are most important to parents of child aged prenatal-to-three.
    • identify how parents learn about and use systems including family supports and services.
  • Gather input on how to form and structure a family leadership advisory council to lead our efforts.
