"Please share our gratitude to the families and organizations that supported the Washington Fathers Network weekend at Carnation Farms. We had a wonderful time. The weekend exceeded our expectations. Without the generous support of these kind donors, we would not have been able to attend this event and meet the other families on a similar journey with children with special needs. It was helpful to be reminded that, because of our love for our children, we can find joy in the ups and downs. We hope it will be possible for the fathers network to continue to obtain financial support for events such as these. Thank you for all your work in pulling this together."

"The weekend was well organized, the activities were super fun, the location was beautiful, and the food was local, fresh and delicious. As I drove home after meeting various families with various challenges, I realized that for the first time in ages, my child, who is "different" could be exactly who he wanted to be, without being redirected to use "expected behavior". It was truly a safe space, with others who "get it". Thank you Louis! I hope that we can repeat the adventures next year!!!"

"I almost canceled out due to my broken ankle, but I didn't and glad I went. The food was amazing and fresh and healthy, they had fridge onsite for my daughters meds. Also the rooms were very nice, beds supper comfy and came with blankets and pillows and towels and shampoo and conditioner for mama like me who tends to forget those things, lol, made packing a lot easier. Also they had AC unit inside the rooms for my family who likes it cold and outlets for their machines. I liked that they had a Lobby inside the cabin area that had hot cocoa and a fire place and also a table for board games and arts for when the kids didn't want to go to bed right away and adults wanted to socialize with other parents before going to bed. The staff was very very friendly and helpful, the day was planned out so nicely and all was organized so well for those who need a routine and they were all so fun.. we loved painting ceramic art, dancing, zip line (I even did it with a cast lol) smores, fishing, rock climbing, checking out the farm and the list goes on and on.. it was one of the best family vacations ever.. we loved it and really really hope they do it again next year so I can go again.. if there a program you like to donate to for the holidays, I say, do this one..."

"Thank you for having my son Anthony and I come to Carnation Farms. I found the weekend to be an inspiring experience. You realize a few things when you get together with other families experiencing the same struggles as you do. You see that other families are having a more difficult time than you. This in turn, puts our challenges in perspective. I'm inspired by the dedication and love of the parents in the Father's Network. It was wonderful to get away and have free time to play with our children. You do a great job of supporting these families. We really enjoyed ourselves at Carnation Farms."
