The Mercer Slough Environmental Education Center in Bellevue, WA is offering it’s first Night Walk designed specifically to work with kids who have different sensory needs. “We have created a separate curriculum, changing some of our current activities to be more adaptable to friends with different learning abilities, timed it to have a better transition into the “dark forest”, are opening up a designated quiet room, and increasing our staff ratio among other things. ”
