On Wednesday, April 28, at 7pm the A.J. Drexel Autism Institute will be holding a talk, Navigating Race and Autism – Black Mothers’ Advocacy for Kids on the Spectrum. Dr. Elizabeth McGhee Hassrick will be giving an overview of Drexel’s current work on the topic, and Elizabeth Morgan, a PhD candidate at UC Davis, will be sharing a glimpse into her work, which explores how Black mothers of autistic children develop advocacy and navigate services.
