The 11th annual Southwest Washington Autism Conference will be held Nov 10 and 17 via Zoom. The full Conference Schedule is now online. There are several workshops for benefit of educators (see below).
The Autism Coalition is providing 5 educator scholarships for each school district in the Cultivating Inclusion cohort (Centralia, Toledo, Mossyrock, Onalaska and Chehalis) and to Lewis County SPED Coop. Educators should coordinate this with your Superintendent or Special Education Director.

Workshops for educators.
- Kerri Blankenship’s workshop provides Universal Design for Learning’s framework that can be adapted and used to promote learning in all learners in a classroom.
- McAlister Greiner Huynh’s double workshop is on adapting instructional approaches, educational support styles, and social-emotional interventions with the autistic neurology in mind to create a culture of acceptance, connection, belonging. Her 2nd workshop offers practical tips and tools for success.
- Jennifer Spencer-Iiams and Monica Meyer will share the story of an Oregon school district achieving significant transformation with a full inclusion model that honors student strengths and promotes belonging in the general education environment.
